Romano’s Vineyard officially opened its tasting room. Romano’s is the only winery operating in Prince George’s County. Located in Brandywine, Maryland, Romano’s offers traditional style wines such as Chardonnay, Merlot and Barbera. Our personal favorite is their Chambourcin, a beautiful fruity ruby red wine. Romano’s tasting room is open every Saturday from noon – five pm.

Fall and winter are the perfect times of year to visit Maryland’s wineries. There are fewer visitors rooms, so the staff can spend more time with you. Also, the proprietor or winemaker often is in the tasting rooms. You have greater opportunity to learn more about the wine and the vineyard’s history from the winemaker. Going wine tasting is a great activity to do with guests visiting from out of town. It’s better than taking them to the mall.
