Ware House 518 Wine Tasting Class & Brunch/Dinner Tickets
Ware House 518 boasts an eclectic mix of old and new. The restaurant’s name is a nod to a former occupant—the historical Ware & Co. Furniture—and the decor harkens back to the 1920s, compete with a full list of pre-prohibition-style cocktails. The front window even features a white-hued display of antique-looking bottles and glasses painted by artist Lyla Shlone. But the food is decidedly contemporary. Executive Chef Chris Vocci prepares a menu that highlights Maryland staples, including Rockfish, oysters, and crab cakes, but prepared with a Southern twist. Owner Ezra Tilaye hopes his restaurant will pay homage to the historic Mt. Vernon neighborhood, saying “Ware House 518 is a salute to the great neighborhood we are in.”
